Dr. María Galán Olleros, MD, FEBOT

Dr. María Galán Olleros is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Hospital Infantil Universitario Niño Jesús in Madrid, a national reference center for pediatric orthopedics. She specializes in neuro-orthopedics, trauma, foot and ankle conditions, and lower limb deformities.

She completed her training at Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid, where she was recognized as the top national resident of her year. She is also a Fellow of the European Board of Orthopedics and Traumatology (EBOT), achieving the highest EBOT-Spain score in 2021.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Galán Olleros is actively involved in research, focusing on pediatric orthopedic conditions, including neuromuscular disorders, lower limb deformities, foot conditions, and sports injuries. She has authored over 50 scientific papers and contributes to national and international research projects, including EPOS-funded studies. Her work has been recognized with multiple national and international awards.

She plays an active role in resident and student education and serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for leading orthopedic journals. Additionally, she has participated in medical cooperation projects in Malawi and India, contributing to global health initiatives.
